Libby Legum Fox, 69, of Noble Street, died April 12, 1995, in her residence.
Mrs. Fox was a native of the Berkley section of Norfolk and was the daughter of the late Samuel and Ida Legum. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Sidney Fox. Mrs. Fox was an active lifelong member of Temple Israel in Norfolk, an officer and a member of its Board of Directors and a past president of its Sisterhood. She received the distinction of receiving its first Woman of the Year award and was very active for many years with the Temple Israel Gift Shop. She was a former employee of NationsBank on Lafayette Blvd. Mrs. Fox was also a member of Hadassah, Bnai Brith, Hebrew Ladies Charity, Beth Sholom Home Auxiliary and Lee's Friends, and was a graduate of Maury High School.
Survivors include her children, Susan Fox Coplon and her husband, Steve of Norfolk and Samuel David Fox and his wife, Kathy of Chesapeake; a sister, Naomi Lewis of Silver Spring, Md.; and five grandchildren, Andrew, Lindsey and Joshua Coplon and Benjamin and Zachary Fox.
A Temple service will be conducted at 10 a.m. today in Temple Israel by Rabbi Michael E. Panitz and Cantor Isaac Danker. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at 1316 Baecher Lane, Norfolk. Memorial contributions may be made to Temple Israel or the American Heart Association. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
