Margaret V. Sutton, 71, of the 2100 block of Broadmoor Ave., died April 11, 1995, in her home.
Mrs. Sutton was born in Henderson, N.C. She was a member, usher and member of the Loyal Helpers of Holy Trinity Church (NU)1 in Portsmouth.
Survivors include her husband, James M. Sutton; three daughters, Lotie A. Bolden of Chesapeake, Erma S. Granger of Portsmouth and Carolyn N. Thompson of Maryland; three sons, Albert L. Sutton and Christopher E. Sutton, both of Maryland, and James A. Sutton of Henderson; three sisters, Ada Mae Allen of Henderson, Mollie L. Burnett of Newark, N.J., and Zeder Foster of Portsmouth; two brothers, Edgar Henderson of Long Island, N.Y., and Timothy W. Henderson of Portsmouth; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three aunts, Eva Reavis and Essie Jones, both of Philadelphia, and Rosa Watkins of Henderson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Holy Trinity Church (NU)1, Portsmouth, by Elder E. Samuel Bess. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Viewing began at 10 a.m. Thursday in Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth. The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Granger Sr., 1572 Crystal Lake Drive, Portsmouth, and will assemble there for the funeral service.
