Dorothy I. Coker, 73, of the 1500 block of Green St., died April 8, 1995, in Beverly Manor of Portsmouth.
Mrs. Coker was born in Pembroke, Bermuda. She was the daughter of the late Ada and Gilbert Crofton and was the widow of Alonzo Coker. She was a former member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church, Portsmouth.
Survivors include a daughter, Charlene Coker-Williams of Portsmouth; four sons, Alonzo Coker of Norfolk, Raymond Coker, Leroy Coker and Michael Coker, all of Portsmouth; seven sisters; three brothers; seven grandchildren; one son-in-law, Alastair Williams; one daughter-in-law, Joann Coker; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Mae Price; and a host of family members and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Corprew Funeral Home by the Rev. Leon J. Boone. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Viewing began at 10 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home. The family will be at the home of her daughter, Charlene Coker-Williams, 1331 Lansing Ave., Portsmouth, and will assemble there for the service.
