George C. Wells Jr., 60, of the 1200 block of Baker Road, a retired truck driver, died April 12, 1995, in Norfolk.
Mr. Wells was born in Lexington, N.C., and attended Princess Anne Plaza Baptist Church. He was retired from Carolina Freight Carriers after 25 years and was a member of the Teamsters Union.
Survivors include his wife, Judith Ann Wells; a daughter, Debra Faye Hobbs of Virginia Beach; four sons, George Steven Wells, James Timothy Wells, John David Wells and Dennis Wayne Wells, all of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Jacqueline Stover of Chesapeake, Carol Carter and Alice Geoghan, both of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Edward Grady Wells and James Daniel Wells, both of Virginia Beach; and 10 grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, by Pastor Ronald Lee. Burial will be in Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
