Rodney A. Ryder, 28, of the 900 block of Fernridge Road, died April 12, 1995, in Virginia Beach.
Mr. Ryder was born in Painesville, Ohio, and attended Church of God of Prophecy in Virginia Beach. He was an active duty Navy AS2.
Survivors include his wife, Michele Ryder; a son, Bryan A. Ryder of Virginia Beach; his mother, Ruth C. Hayward Ryder of Groton, Conn.; a sister, Dorothy Jo Lastes of Groton; and two brothers, Steven A. Ryder of Groton and Gary John Ryder of Depew, N.Y.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Church of God of Prophecy by the Rev. Milton Atkins. Burial will be private at a later date. The family will receive friends at Kellum Funeral Home, Pleasant Hall/Kempsville Chapel, from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Military honors will be accorded following the funeral at the church.
