Fredrick Lee Hoskie Sr., 71, of the 1000 block of Virginia Ave., Apt. C, a retired machinist, died April 11, 1995.
Mr. Hoskie was born in Como, N.C. He retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard after 27 years and was a member of American Legion-Portsmouth and Elks Lodge 103 II-Deep Creek.
Survivors include his wife, Emma Hoskie; four daughters, Emma Ridley of Suffolk, Pattie Ann Freeman of Hampton, Ella L. Cox of Chesapeake and Janet M. Morizon of Portsmouth; four sons, Fredrick L. Hoskie Jr., and Rev. Linwood L. Hoskie, both of Chesapeake, Staff Sgt. Lawrence M. Hoskie of Ft. Lewis, Wash., and Staff Sgt. Tony O. Hoskie of South Korea; 20 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today at Serenity Funeral Home, Pastor Antonio Stevenson officiating and Rev. Linwood L. Hoskie eulogizing. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will assemble at 3340 Dunedin Drive, Chesapeake at 10:15 a.m. today for the processional to the chapel.
