John Herbert Anderson Jr., 59, of Chesapeake, formerly of Long Island, N.Y, died Wednesday, April 12, 1995, at his residence.
Mr. Anderson was born in St. Albans, N.Y., and was the son of the late John Herbert Anderson Sr. and Karen Andersen Anderson. He retired in 1990 as a supervisor with Household Finance after 35 years of service. He was a Life Master of the American Contract Bridge League, Virginia Beach, as well as a great lover of books. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife, Jane M. Anderson of Chesapeake; two daughters, Ellen Webb of Melbourne, Australia, and Karen Anderson of Albany, N.Y.; and one grandson, Brian Nicholas Webb of Melbourne, Australia.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 16, 1995, in the chapel of Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge. There will be no public viewing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. and immediately following the memorial service. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart Fund or to The Mill Neck Foundation Inc.
