A Norfolk man was killed Thursday night when he tried to cross North Military Highway in the 800 block, police said.
David L. Hoggard Sr., 86, of the 1500 block of Bond St., was crossing from the west to the east side of the road at 9:14 p.m. when he was struck by a car traveling in the north bound lane.
He suffered massive injuries and died at 10:03 p.m. at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, police said.
No charges have been filed, but the investigation is continuing.
