Bertha B. Franklin, 64, died Wednesday, April 12, in Washington Township Hospital in Freemont, Calif.
Mrs. Franklin was born in Norfolk County, Va. She was the daughter of James Elvin Edler and Mary Elizabeth Edler.
Survivors include her husband, Roy T. Franklin of Union City, Calif.; one brother, James Elvin Epps of Norfolk, Va.; five sons, Leonard Edler and Sterling Edler of Norfolk, Va., Terry Franklin and Rodney Franklin of Union City, Calif., and Eric Franklin of Oklahoma, Okla.; and six grandchildren.
She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Union City. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 19, by the Rev. George M. Gaskin Jr. Cards or flowers may be sent to Chapel of the Chimes, 4490 Piedmont Ave., Oakland, Calif. 94611.
