Erica Leigh Daversa, age 16, died April 13, 1995, at Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters of complications from Cystic Fibrosis.
She was a sophomore at Princess Anne High School.
She is survived by her mother, Diana Daversa Schompert and stepfather, Gary W. Schompert of Virginia Beach; her father, Joseph A. Daversa and stepmother, Joan of Coral Springs, Fla.; four brothers, Tony Daversa, Vincent Daversa, Joey Daversa and Jay Gurganus; grandparents, Alfred and Eleanor Kennell of Norfolk and Santo and Grace Daversa of Virginia Beach; and a host of aunts, uncles and other relatives.
Viewing and visitation will be held Monday at Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. A graveside service will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. in Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. Lelia E. Cutler. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Virginia Chapter, 1423 N. Great Neck Road, Virginia Beach, Va. 23454.
