Shirley M. Ruffin of the 1700 block of Vernon Drive, died April 13, 1995, in a local health care center.
She was born in Norfolk.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence Ruffin Sr.; four daughters, Elsie Mae Barnes, JoAnn Gordon, Melodie Johnson and Christal Faulks; three sons, Clarence Ruffin Jr., Stanley McCoy Ruffin and Raymond L. Ruffin; her mother, Elizabeth P. Bynum; four sisters, Christine Parker, Maggie Batten, Yvonne Bynum and Victoria Bynum; four brothers, Joseph L. Bynum, McCoy Bynum, James Bynum and Lawrence Parker; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday in Antioch Missionary Baptist Church by Dr. I. Joseph Williams. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Friends may join the family at the residence. The body will be placed in church at 10 a.m. Monday. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
