Annie Mary Porter of the 22400 block of Thomaston Road, a homemaker, died Thursday, April 13, 1995, in Chesapeake Health Care Center.
Mrs. Porter was a native of Hertford County, N.C., and was the widow of Stanley B. Porter. She was a member of Mount Tabor Baptist Church, Newsoms, the Deaconess Board, Senior Choir, Missionary Society, Funeral League, Order of Eastern Star No. 52 and Love and Charity Lodge of Newsoms.
Survivors include two sons, Everett Porter of Newsoms and Stanley C. Porter of Portsmouth; a sister, Dora Eason of Washington, D.C.; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Mount Tabor Baptist Church by the Rev. R.S. Steele. Burial will be in Mount Tabor Cemetery. William M. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home, Franklin, is in charge.
