Kenneth Wayne Stewart, 32, has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for the April 1994 murder of his wife, Rhonda Stewart. Circuit Judge John C. Morrison on Friday sentenced Stewart for second-degree murder.
Stewart had been convicted by a jury in the death of his wife, whose body was found in a bathtub. A medical examiner ruled that Rhonda Stewart died of drowning, but she had also been strangled and her body bore fresh bruises.
