THELMA A. DAVIS

Thelma Annette Davis, 81, of the 800 block of Outerbridge Quay, formerly of Atlantic Ave., Chesapeake, Va., died April 13, 1995, in Chesapeake General Hospital.

Mrs. Davis was born in what is now known as Chesapeake, Va. She was a member of Saint Joseph A.M.E. Zion Church in Chesapeake where she served on the Usher Board and other committees prior to her illness.

Survivors include her husband, Robert W. Davis Sr.; a daughter, Consieuella Braithwaite of Va. Beach; two sons, Robert W. Davis Jr. and Delcasey J. Davis, both of Chesapeake, Va.; a dedicated son-in-law, James R. Braithwaite, a daughter-in-law Diana Davis, a very close friend, Sabrina Harris; 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; one aunt, Mrs. Irene Calls; two nieces, Mrs. Edith Tarksley, who she raised, and Mrs. Maurice Norris; a goddaughter, Orla Annette Foster; and a host of great-nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon on Monday April 17, 1995, at Saint Joseph A.M.E. Zion Church by the Rev. Eason. Burial will be at Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the residence. Arrangements by Pretlow & Sons Funeral Home.
