Virginia O. Edwards, 78, formerly of Chesapeake, died April 14, 1995, in Norfolk.
Mrs. Edwards was born in Hagerstown, Md. She was the widow of Robert E. Edwards and was a member of Oaklette United Methodist Church. She was a loving mother.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Hawes and Roberta Futrell, both of Virginia Beach; eight sisters and brothers, Richard Plume, Alice Plume, Buddy Plume and Shirley Gardiner, all of Hagerstown, Md., Gladys Bittinger, Kenny Plume, of Smithburg, Md., Louise Miller of Downsville, Md., and Madeline Hutzell of Boonesboro, Md.; and three grandchildren, Angela, David and April Futrell, all of Virginia Beach.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Rosewood Memorial Park by the Rev. Gene C. Gee. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday.
