Raymond Earl Newell Jr., 42, of the 1200 block of Kingsway Drive, died Saturday, April 15, 1995, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
Mr. Newell was born in Boston, Mass., and was the son of the late Raymond E. Newell Sr. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and a past officer of the Goose Chapter of the Jaycees.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Adeline Swank Johnson and Ernest G. Johnson, both of Chesapeake; one sister, Kathleen Karle of Cincinnati, Ohio; and one brother, William R. Newell of Chesapeake.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Tim Drake. The family will receive friends at Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, on Monday from 7 to 8 p.m.
