A decomposed body found in a rural area of the city has been described as that of a white man who was about 6 feet tall and weighed about 200 pounds, police said Monday.
A resident found the body Friday in a wooded area off Cedar Road and George Washington Highway.
The man was 25 to 45 years old, police spokesman Richard Black said. A medical examiner's report indicated the man died between the winter of 1991 and 1993.
The man wore size 12 hunting boots. His pants were size 38 in the waist and 31 in length. Also recovered were a heavy camouflage hunting jacket and what was left of a pack of Winston cigarettes.
The man's identity and cause of death have not been determined, Black said.
