Mary J. Roberts, 79, of the 2000 block of McDaniel St., a former nurse's aide, died April 18, 1995, in a local nursing home.
Mrs. Roberts was born in Danville, Va., and was the widow of William A. Roberts Jr. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, Portsmouth, and had formerly worked for Drs. Vidarte and Psimas.
Survivors include two sons, John G. Roberts and William D. Roberts, both of Portsmouth; a sister, Virginia Wiltbank of Portsmouth; five grandsons, Steve Roberts, Andy Roberts, Peter Roberts, Patrick Roberts and Paul Roberts; and a great-granddaughter, Alexis Roberts.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Oak Grove Cemetery by the Rev. Clara Gestwick. The family will receive friends at Foster Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday.
