Robert Anderson Harrell, 74, of the 1700 block of Lobell Lane, died Wednesday morning, April 19, 1995, in Maryview Hospital, Portsmouth, Va.
A native of Perquimans County, he was a retired supervisor of Shop 56 at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard and a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Benna Russell Harrell; three daughters, Shirley Smith and Rita Thomas, both of Portsmouth, and Carolyn Villanueva of Pullman, Mich.; two sons, Robert E. Harrell and Preston Harrell, both of Portsmouth; a sister, Lillie Thach of Hertford; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Cedar Wood Cemetery, Hertford, with the Rev. Keith Vaughan officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and at other times at the home of Lizzie Harrell, 198 Sunset Drive, Hertford. Swindell Funeral Home, Hertford, is in charge.
