Ben Baranski, 73, died April 18, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mr. Baranski was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and was retired from the city of New York as a police officer after 21 years. He was a member of Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Seasoned Couples Club of Virginia Beach, and was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Olga Baranski; two daughters, Linda Martorell and Christine Fuentes, both of Virginia Beach; a son, Robert A. Baranski of Long Island,N.Y.; two sisters, Irene Murray of Queens, N.Y., and Lucy Feeley of California; and six grandchildren, Blair, Angela, Lisa, Robert, Christopher and Susan.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, by Father Michael Breslin. The family will be at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 10 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Virginia Beach General Hospital.
