Shirley Tanner Weed, 74, a free-lance photographer and a homemaker, died April 19, 1995, in a Chesapeake hospital.
Born in Westfield, N.J., she was the widow of Irivng N. Weed. She attended Kitty Hawk United Methodist Church and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Hendersonville, N.C. She was a graduate of Dickinson College of Carlisle, Pa.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Judith Trotman of Toms River, N.J.; a son and daughter-in-law, the Rev. Stephen N. Weed and Teri M. Weed of Wynnewood, Pa.; a stepson, David N. Weed of Charlotte, N.C.; a sister, Roberta Willson of Westfield, N.J.; and two grandchildren, Matthew and Bethany Weed of Wynnewood, Pa.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Kitty Hawk United Methodist Church by Fay Nelson. Burial will be private. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, Chesapeake, is in charge. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Creative Puppet Ministries, Colington, N.C.
