BM 1st Class Berkley Glenn Hougland, U.S. Navy (Ret.), 63, of the 1500 block of Hedgerow Drive, died April 19, 1995, in Virginia Beach.
Born in Wessington Springs, S.D., he was a Protestant. He retired as a boatswain's mate 1st class after 24 years and was a veteran of Korea and Vietnam. He was a member of International Order of Foresters Court (NU)1597.
Survivors include his wife, Betty R. Hougland; three daughters, Ronda Hougland of Columbia, Mo., Brendee Wilson and Blair Guerrieri, both of Virginia Beach; a son, William Hougland of Florida; his mother, Ellen Hougland of Lake Preston, S.D.; two brothers, Dahl Hougland and Dihl Hougland, both of Lake Preston, S.D.; and seven grandchildren.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, is handling arrangements.
