Catherine LeBlanc will be the keynote speaker for Elizabeth City State University's Honors Day Convocation at 2 p.m. today in Moore Hall Auditorium.
President Clinton appointed LeBlanc to head the White House Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
As executive director, she serves as the coordinating point for federal activities designed to support and strengthen HBCUs. She also provides support to an HBCU Advisory Board appointed by the president.
