Bessie Rountree Trotman, 99, of Route 1, died Thursday, April 20, 1995, in Morgan's Rest Home, Hertford.
Mrs. Trotman was born in Chowan County. The daughter of the late Beauregard G. and Mrs. Jennie Nixon Rountree, she was a homemaker and a member of Sandy Cross Baptist Church. She was the wife of the late Lee R. Trotman.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Etta Wiggins of Chesapeake, Va.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Elton ``Trot'' Trotman.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in Sandy Cross Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Bobby Hewitt. Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, is handling arrangements. Friends may join the family at the home of Nita Trotman, Hobbsville.
