MAUDE A. HUDSON

Maude Armstrong Hudson, 84, died April 20, 1995, in Rockingham Memorial Hospital.

She was born Oct. 20, 1910, in Kuling, China where her parents, the late Oscar and Lena S. Armstrong, were Presbyterian missionaries.

Mrs. Hudson was a supervisor and teacher of distributive education in Virginia and South Carolina. At her retirement, she was director of Guidance and Counseling for the Norfolk, Va., city schools. A life-long Presbyterian, she was an elder in Knox Presbyterian Church, Norfolk, and was a Bible teacher for over 60 years.

She was married for over 50 years to Waddy H. Hudson, who died in 1981. Surviving are a son, W. Hampton Hudson of Brevard, N.C.; two daughters, Helen T. Hudson of Harrisonburg, Va., and Bunny Frey of Davidson, N.C.; a sister, Margeraret L. Durdin of San Diego, Calif.; a brother, Oscar Armstrong of Chevy Chase, Md.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
