Marie Williams Johnson of the 3500 block of Rokeby Ave., passed away in her home April 20, 1995.
She attended Averett College and served in the Norfolk County Trial Justice Court for 22 years.
She is survived by her husband, Albert Sidney Johnson; two brothers, Murray G. Williams and William H. Williams, both of Chesapeake; three sisters, Hazel W. Lockwood of Chesapeake, Annie W. Poindexter of Richmond and Betty W. Potter of Virginia Beach. Also surviving are 20 nieces and nephews and 30 great-nieces and nephews.
The Rev. John Dearing will conduct a memorial service at Indian River Baptist Church, Sunday, April 23, 1995, at 2 p.m. In one final unselfish gesture, Marie requested that her remains be donated to medical science. The family will assemble in the Fellowship Hall of the church at 1:30.
