Carrie Mae Hill Hodges, 69, of the 1100 block of Wilson Road, died April 17, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Hodges was born in Halifax County, N.C., and had been employed at the Giant Open Air Market and the Naval Supply Center. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and the Senior Citizens Club.
Survivors include her husband, Moses Hodges Sr.; her children, Moses Jr., Jeff, Larry, Louise, Jerry, Vivian and her dearest baby daughter, Irene Hodges; her beloved grandson, Jerry Doggett; 17 grandchildren, including LaKisha Doggett, DeAngelo and Markea Hodges; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Corrine Lyle of Baltimore; her aunt, Bettie ``Aunt Doll'' Edmonds; and a host of cousins and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Shiloh Baptist Church, Norfolk, by the Rev. John Foster. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Family and friends will assemble at 1476 Melon St., Norfolk, at 1 p.m. Monday for the funeral processional to the church. The body will be placed in church at 11 a.m. Metropolitan Funeral Service is in charge.
