Maxwell Robert Freeman, 85, a retired musician, died April 19, 1995, in a local nursing home.
Mr. Freeman retired from Freeman's School of Music, was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church and a deacon, a member of Grand Lodge of Virginia Masons Newlight (NU)196 and was an honor graduate of Juilliard School of Music, 1959.
Survivors include two sisters, Mary F. Walker of Norfolk and Ruth Marie Freeman of Virginia Beach.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at New Calvary Baptist Church, Norfolk, by Dr. G.G. Campbell. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements by Hale Funeral Home.
