There is little else to be said once it is pointed out - as it has been - that not only did John Warner desert the Republican Party, he also betrayed it. He refused to support Republican Party nominees for lieutenant governor and U.S. senator and then presented an independent, his lackey, for the U.S. Senate. His arrogance has no limit.
His conduct is as reprehensible as that of a military commander who expects loyalty from his troops but has no loyalty to his troops.
Nothing that former President Bush has said in Warner's behalf diminishes or alters this.
