In your editorial concerning homosexuals in the military and the ``don't-ask-don't-tell-don't-pursue'' policy, your attempt to equate being female or black (both of which are selected by God prior to birth and are not choices) with being homosexual (which is purely and simply a choice, a perverted and defiant choice) is pathetic. It panders to those who, like the pro-abortionists and racist organizations such as the NAACP and the Rainbow Coalition, are slowly destroying our society with their self-victimization and outdated and outmoded beliefs.
The military remains at the forefront of equality and opportunity. It also remains one of the few organizations that requires special latitude in its control of people due to the very unique mission it serves. To that end, everyone is treated fairly.
While you are correct to point out that there was some backlash as the military adjusted first to blacks and then to women, there is no room for further social experimentation in the ranks.
