Catherine White Basnight, 69, of 1207 Baltic Ave., died Saturday, April 22, 1995, in Virginia Beach General Hospital. A native of Elizabeth City, N.C., she had lived in Virginia Beach for the past 59 years. She was the beloved wife of the late Truxton Basnight. She was a Baptist.
She is survived by three daughters, Rena Marie Harris of Richmond, Va., Carolyn Faye Harris of Norfolk and Rado A. Labonte of Virginia Beach; one sister, Kay F. Ives of Virginia Beach; one brother, Leslie White of Lynn, Mass.; and two grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, April 25, 1995, at 2 p.m. in Rosewood Memorial Park by the Rev. Richard J. Yates. The family will be in the Maestas Funeral Home, Baltic Avenue Chapel, tonight from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. to receive friends, and other times will be at 610 Maryland Ave., Virginia Beach.
