MILTON D. BURTON

Milton David ``Red'' Burton, 79, of 317 W. Rockspring St., died Tuesday, April 18, 1995, at Maria Parham Hospital.

He was a native of Norfolk, and the son of the late Charlie and Lillie Henderson Burton.

Burton was the chef at the White House Restaurant. He joined the staff of WHVH-AM, now known at WIZS, in 1955, and worked as an announcer at that station and at WHNC until his retirement in 1994.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ora Lee Brame Burton of the home; two brothers, Charlie Burton and Arthur Burton, both of Norfolk; and a host of nieces, nephews and loving friends. ILLUSTRATION: Personal Photo
