James Lee Farrow, 66, of the 3600 block of Wedgefield Ave., a retired merchant seaman, died Saturday, April 22, 1995, in Sentara Leigh Hospital.
Mr. Farrow was born in Harbinger, N.C., and was the son of the late James and Alma Gallop Farrow. He was retired from the National Maritime Union after 30 years and was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Pleasant Branch Baptist Church in Mamie, N.C.
Survivors include a son, James Farrow of Norfolk; a sister, Alma W. Farrow of Norfolk; a brother, Joseph Vernon Farrow of Manteo, N.C.; grandchildren Johnathan Colby and LeKeta Hall; two aunts, Almeda Pledger and Lula Dough, and an uncle, Nathan Gallop, all of Norfolk; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Riddick Funeral Service by the Rev. Ray Vango. Burial will be in Woodlawn Meorial Gardens. Viewing will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The family will be at the funeral home from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday.
