Hoover Wilson Kennedy, 77, of the 500 block of Griffin Swamp Road, died Sunday, April 23, 1995, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
Mr. Kennedy was retired from IXL in Elizabeth City as a lumber inspector and buyer and was a member of the Weeksville Lions Club.
He was the son of the late Ephraim C. and Alice Duck Kennedy and was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Brasher.
Survivors include his wife, Edith Marie Coble Kennedy; three daughters, Peggy K. Gerbrecht of Vancouver, B.C., Pamela George of Virginia Beach and Kay Rose of Hertford; two sons, Jack W. Kennedy of Cincinnati, Ohio, and James W. ``Bill'' Kennedy of Elizabeth City; two sisters, Juantia Douglas and Wynema Myricle, both of Decaturville, Tenn.; a brother, Walbert Kennedy, also of Decaturville, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Decaturville, Tenn. Memorial donations may be made to the Weeksville Lions Club.
