Cecil Alvin Weekley, 85, of the 1700 block of Burroughs Road, died April 25, 1995, in Virginia Beach.
Mr. Weekley was born in Madison Heights, Va. He was retired as a vice president of First Virginia Bank after 25 years. He was a member of Baylake United Methodist Church; charter and lifetime member of Ocean View Lions Club; and Army veteran of World War II, having served in the China, Burma and India theater.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lee Cockrell Weekley; a daughter, Carol W. Able of Chesapeake; a son, James A. Weekley of Silver Spring, Md.; three sisters, Mary Medley of Norfolk, Dorothy Herron of Greensboro, N.C., and Ruby Hickey of Apopka, Fla.; a brother, Woodrow W. Weekley of Madison Heights, Va.; and a grandchild, Christopher G. Able of Chesapeake.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Ted David. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Baylake United Methodist Church.
