JAMES CLARK

James Clark of the 5400 block of Tidewater Drive, died April 22, 1995, in a local hospital.

He was born in North Carolina and was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth. Mr. Clark was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Norfolk, the Male Choir and the Sanctuary Choir.

Survivors include a daughter, Alice Bethea of Norfolk; six grandchildren, Delores Cartwright, Patricia Jenkins, Charlene Williams, all of Chesapeake, George Bethea of Norfolk, Jerome Bethea of Suffolk and Wesley Bethea of Portsmouth; 12 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday in Antioch Missionary Baptist Church by Dr. I. Joseph Williams. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will assemble at 5432 Tidewater Drive, Norfolk, at 11 a.m. Thursday for the funeral processional to the church. Metropolitan Funeral Service is in charge.
