An order of nuns plans to send a representative to Anheuser-Busch Cos.'s annual meeting to protest what it claims is the marketing of its alcoholic drinks to children. The Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration, which has about 500 members in the United States and four other countries, owns 20,400 shares of Anheuser-Busch stock. Sister Julie Tydrich, the order's treasurer, says she will be part of a group of stockholders that will introduce a resolution at the meeting today asking the company to report on how its marketing affects kids and how much of its beer is consumed by underage drinkers. A similar resolution was rejected last year. This year's annual meeting is being held in Williamsburg, where Anheuser-Busch owns a brewery and the Busch Gardens theme park. (AP) by CNB
