WORKER ELECTROCUTED

A civilian electrician working for the Navy Public Works Center was electrocuted about 2:40 p.m. Monday at Norfolk Naval Station while attempting to repair a broken overhead electrical line.

Navy officials identified the dead man as Famous E. Spellman, 40, of Chesapeake, a high-voltage electrician.

He was transported to DePaul Hospital, where he died. An investigation is being conducted by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Safety Office.
