Noland Co. increased its annual dividend rate from 24 cents to 32 cents per share at its annual shareholders' meeting Wednesday. The dividend-rate increase, which begins in July, gains back part of a 22 cent-per-share cut in the dividend that Noland instituted in 1992 because of poor earnings.
The Newport News-based company earned $6.2 million in 1994, the most since 1987. Net income for the first quarter was $1.1 million, compared with $256,000 during the first quarter of 1994. (Staff) by CNB
