Charles Francis Lane, 83, formerly of Norfolk, died April 27, 1995.
He was retired from Virginia Power after 47 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Poyner Lane; two sons, Charles Francis Lane Jr. of Annapolis, Md., and William David Lane of Wingina, Va.; a daughter, Martha Ann Lane of Arlington, Va.; and four grandchildren.
Remains rest at the Central Chapel, Bennett Funeral Home, 3215 Cutshaw Ave., Richmond, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. today, and where a funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday. Interment will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Congregational Christian Church.
