GEORGE CLAIBORNE JR.

George Claiborne Jr., 42, of the 5600 block of Tidewater Drive, an accountant for the Naval Aviation Depot of Norfolk, died April 25, 1995, in Norfolk General Hospital.

He was a native of Waverly, Va., and was a member of First Baptist Church of Waverly. He was a graduate of Central High, attended John Tyler Community College and later attended Richard Bland Community College. He was a former employee of NationsBank and was in the military from 1972 to 1974.

He is survived by his parents, Ida and George Lee Claiborne of Waverly, Va.; two sisters, Delores Claiborne of Waverly and Joyce Ann Claiborne of Andrew, S.C.; two brothers, Nathaniel Claiborne of Bethlehem, Pa., and Harold W. Claiborne of Waverly; two aunts, Catherine Pace of Hampton, Va., and Margaret Hall of Philadelphia, Pa.; two uncles, Oscar Claiborne of Waverly, and John Claiborne of Philadelphia, Pa.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Hale Funeral Home by the Rev. Cuffee. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Family and friends will meet at 5656 Tidewater Drive at 10 a.m. for the processional.
