Junius Fulcher Overton, 89, long-time resident of Norfolk passed away April 27. He leaves his wife of 61 years, Caddie H. Overton of Sunnyside Presbyterian Retirement Community, Harrisonburg, Va. and his daughters Jacquelyn O. Stone of Virginia Beach, Margaret O. Garrish and Kay O. Riddick of Ocracoke, NC, a brother, Dr. James H. Overton of Winston-Salem, NC and sisters Edna O. Doxey of Aydlett, NC, and Aldine B. Bennett of Norfolk. He has six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
He was a member of Coleman Place Presbyterian Church, Coinjock Masonic Lodge, and was a resident of Sunnyside.
A memorial service will be conducted by the Rev. Larry Miles on Sun. April 30 at 3 p.m. Coleman Place Presbyterian Church, Norfolk.
Remembrances may be sent to Coleman Place Presbyterian Church, Sunnyside Presbyterian Retirement Community, or Ocracoke United Methodist Church. The family will be at the home of Jackie Stone, 1341 Graham Road, Virginia Beach.
