Anthony M. Gramy was pronounced dead by paramedics at a home in the 400 block of Quantico St. shortly after 10 p.m. A nearby resident reported hearing gunshots and a call for help.
Gramy had no known local address, said police spokesman G.A. Brown.
Early reports that the victim was a teenager were incorrect, he said.
There are no suspects or known motives in the shooting, the city's seventh homicide of the year.
