Mrs. Laura Jane ``Janie'' Lingle, 53, of 4303 Beckford Dr., died April 29, 1995, in Moses Cone Hospital, Greensboro, after six months of declining health.

Mrs. Lingle was born in Fort Bragg, N.C., on Oct. 12, 1941. She attended Rowan Co. School, was a homemaker and mother and a member of Lutheran Church of Our Father, Greensboro. She was the daughter of the late Mrs. Aeroleigh Broadway Barringer and Irving Eugene Barringer.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Carr Lingle, whom she married July 25, 1959; a son, Mr. Duane Lingle of Greensboro; a daughter, Mrs. Victoria ``Tori'' Boyd of Chesapeake, Va.; a sister, Mrs. Stella Stirewalt of Salisbury, N.C.; and two granddaughters.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. today at Lutheran Church of Our Father and 11 a.m. Tuesday at Faith Lutheran Church, Faith, N.C., Rev. Bernard Hess, pastor of Lutheran Church of Our Father, and Rev. Dr. John F. Merck of Faith Lutheran Church presiding. Visitation will be 2-3 p.m. today at Lutheran Church of Our Father and 7-8 p.m. Monday at Powles Funeral Home, Rockwell, N.C. Memorials to Lutheran Church of Our Father, 3304 Groometown Rd., Greensboro, N.C. 27407. All flowers to come to Powles Funeral Home.
