MILDRED E. SHEPARD

Mildred Elizabeth Shepard, 73, of the 3800 block of Jefferson Blvd., a retired self-employed real estate broker and partner, died April 29, 1995, in her residence.

Mrs. Shepard was born in Purdy, Va. She retired from Century 21 in Chesapeake Bay, was a former school teacher, the widow of Commander Willard Marshall Shepard, and member of Ocean View Baptist Church, Altrusa Club, Ocean Park Womens Club, Retired Officers Wives Club, Delta Sigma and Lamda Sorority, Chrysler Museum, Town-n-Gown Club and the World Affairs Council.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, M. Gregory and Linda Shepard of Richmond, and Jeffrey and Wendy Shepard of Virginia Beach; four sisters, Anne R. Lanier of Richmond, Va., Virginia R. Sacco of Rockville, Md., Ruth Heaps of Bel Aire, Md., and Nellie R. Smith of Purdy, Va.; a brother, Joseph A. Radogna of Norfolk; three grandsons, Justin, Grayson and Garrett Shepard, all of Richmond; and one stepgrandson, Nicholas Wheeley of Virginia Beach. She was predeceased by a daughter, Susan Elizabeth Shepard, and her parents, Joseph Radogna and Sarah Ann Gregory Radogna Reams.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ocean View Baptist Church by the Rev. Dr. David N. Clay. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to The Altrusa Club of Tidewater, 321 Brunswick Court, Chesapeake, Va. 23324 or to The Ocean View Baptist Church Food Bank, Wells Parkway at Govt. Ave., Norfolk, Va. 23503.
