Thomas Woodard, 61, of the 7500 block of Proctors Bridge Road, died April 27, 1995, in Obici Hospital.
He was a native of Southampton County and was the son of the late Nathaniel and Emma Scott Woodard. He had retired from Felt's Packing Co. of Ivor, and was a member of the New Branch Baptist Church.
He is survived by two aunts, Bernice Pierce and Ethel Little, both of Suffolk; two sisters, Roberta Holloway and Inell Holloman, both of Ivor; two brothers, Robert Woodard of Rivera Beach, Fla., and Delano Woodard of Wakefield, Va.; and a host of nieces, nephews and caring friends.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in New Branch Baptist Church by the Rev. Frank Aiken. Burial will be in Gilfield Baptist Church Cemetery, Ivor. Crocker Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. The body will be placed in the church at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.
