Phyllis Marlowe Russell, 51, of the 4600 block of Southampton Arch, died April 30, 1995, in her home.
She was a native of Statesville, N.C., and was a member of Victory Boulevard Church of Christ. She was also a retired department manager for Bradlee's Department Store in Portsmouth.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Monroe Russell; one son, Richard Lee Russell of Portsmouth; her parents, Eugene Holton and Daisey Mae Marlowe of Portsmouth; two sisters, Linda McAlpine of Portsmouth, and Dorothy Mayo of Tampa, Fla.; two brothers, Jerry Marlowe of Hampton and Donnie Marlowe of Portsmouth. She was predeceased by a son, Ronnie Russell.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Loving Funeral Home by the Rev. Elbert Lilly. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday in the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Red Cross.
