If there is a silver lining in this gray cloud that seems to be looming over us at present, it is that for once since the Persian Gulf war, this country is united.
During the war we weren't Democrats or Republicans or extremists - we were Americans.
We were in shock together. We prayed together and we were outraged together. Maybe the Oklahoma bombing is in some way God sending us a message (and we need to pay attention) that we need to look at one another and treat one another with respect.
We need to learn to listen with an open mind to people with different opinions and try to learn to compromise.
We all are human beings. No one has all the right answers, and we can learn from one another.
Let's not have all these people, especially the children, to have died in vain. Let us learn from this horror and build a better America.
