Clarence Rudolph ``Buddy'' Baines, 63, went to be with the Lord April 30, 1995, in Obici Hospital.
Mr. Baines was born in Suffolk, Va., and was a retired plumber for Darden Plumbing Co. He was also a longtime employee of the Ford Co. He was a member of Suffolk Moose Lodge (NU)141, Legionnaire. He was predeceased by his father, William Wilbur Baines and sister, Virginia Mae Miller.
Survivors include one daughter, Miss Norma Jean Baines of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two sons, C.W. Stick Baines of Suffolk and David Rudolph Baines of Charleston, S.C.; mother, Effie Lee Duke Baines of Chesapeake; one sister, Margie Ann Neill of Suffolk; two brothers, William Frank ``Mickey'' Baines of Raleigh, N.C. and Otis Lee Baines of Suffolk; and four grandchildren.
The graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, May 3, 1995, at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Carter Dey in Holly Lawn Cemetery with Moose Rites (NU)32. Hill Funeral Home in charge. Friends may join the family in the Hill Funeral Home tonight from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. and other times at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Baines, 231 Highland Ave., Suffolk.
