THOMAS C. CAUTHEN

Thomas C. Cauthen, 68, died April 30, 1995, in his home.

Mr. Cauthen was born in Charleston, S.C., and his parents were Pearl Morris Barada and Bert H. Cauthen. He was a retired Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy, and was also retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard as an electrical supervisor, Shop (NU)51. He was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church and served as a trustee, member of the Official Board and president of United Methodist Men. He was affiliated with the Fleet Reserve Association, Corithian Lodge (NU)266 A.F.&A.M., and Scottish Rite Bodies.

Survivors include his wife, Treita W. Cauthen; his children, Robert W. Waddill and John D. Waddill of Richmond, Anne W. Yerkes of Mechanicsville, Md., William B. Waddill of Virginia Beach; and ten grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted Wednesday, May 3, 1995, at 11 a.m. by Pastor G.C. Shepherd and the Rev. James Draper in St. John's United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with full military honors. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is in charge. Family will be at the funeral home for Masonic Rites at 7 p.m. by Corinthian Lodge (NU)266, and visitation will follow from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the HVAC Fund of St. John's United Methodist Church, 2709 Greendale Ave., Norfolk 23518.
